As part of the newly inaugurated Plaza de la Diáspora Dominicana, we created a mural that celebrates and honors the Dominican spirit abroad. This piece offers a modern and vibrant perspective on the lives of Dominicans in foreign lands, acting as a visual bridge to their beloved Quisqueya. The mural is a tribute to the dreams and resilience of the Dominican diaspora, capturing the essence of those who have left their homeland yet continue to elevate our flag daily. In its first phase, created in collaboration with the Institute of Dominicans Abroad (INDEX), the mural highlights compatriots who have achieved remarkable accomplishments in various fields while abroad. Additionally, the mural acknowledges the unwavering loyalty of Vimenca’s clients, particularly those who, for over 30 years, have consistently supported their loved ones back home. Through this homage, the mural becomes a celebration of the enduring connection, hope, and pride that unite Dominicans worldwide.
